Your child needs a parent or guardian's permission to update their experience direct chat setting from "Off" to "On" on their Roblox account. This allows your child to chat directly with Trusted Connections and people of similar age playing the same experience – including people who are not their Connections.
About parent privileges on RobloxCreating an account with parent privileges only takes a few minutes. You'll be asked to enter your birthday, verify your age using a government-issued ID or credit card, and link to your child's Roblox account. After that, you'll be able to approve certain actions for your child on Roblox, and will receive email notifications about your child's account.
If you already have your own Roblox account, you can link it to your child's account and add parent privileges.
Your child provided your email address to request that you link to their account. If you choose not to link an account with parent privileges, your child will still be able to use their account and access most features on Roblox, including filtered text chat. You may request that we delete your child's account or request that we delete your email address at any time by contacting
Roblox Support. Apart from a parent's email, we do not otherwise collect, use, or disclose personal information from users under 13.
If you do not take action on this email, your email will be deleted from our system after 24 hours.
