Hi there, Can you believe it is almost the end of 2011!? We've got tons of stuff to share, so make sure to read through this entire list below to keep up with it all: 1. Edublog Awards are NOW! Each year, we celebrate the best of technology and blogging in education with the Eddies. Nominate your favorites before Friday, December 2nd! Voting will begin next week and then we will reveal the winners in the live virtual ceremony on Wednesday, December 14th at 7pm EST. 2. LearnBoost Lesson Sharing The good people over at LearnBoost, a popular and free gradebook service, have a cool new Lesson Plan Book feature you might want to check out. Keep track of your plans and calendar with ease, and you can even automatically embed your lessons right on your blog! 3. New Mobile Friendly Themes Over the past month, we've released three new themes into the wild. These are the most sophisticated yet because they take advantage of the latest in HTML5 and "responsive" design techniques - so that they look great on screens and devices of all sizes. The themes are: - Edublogs Default 2011 (free) - Liquorice (premium) - Yoko (premium) 4. Decorating Your Blog We get a lot of questions this time of year about if we have themes or widgets that are geared towards the holidays. The short answer is we absolutely do! You can add snow, music, countdowns, and dancing snowmen in just a few minutes time. See our ideas and get loads of tips here. Enjoy these next couple of weeks, and remember, a well deserved rest awaits just around the corner! Cheers! -The Edublogs Team |
